Open Roading with Joe and Kalyn

You may remember Joe from episode 143.

Almost four years ago, Kalyn and Joe sold their house and bought an RV trailer. It required a lot of planning (and still does!) but it’s been worth it for them.

Struggles: Joe struggles with connecting and maintaining community. Kalyn struggles with no longer having her own office space.

“This is not a perpetual vacation” – they keep a regular schedule of work, travel days, and sightseeing.

Important to know: Boondocking (staying on free land) is not really possible in popular tourist destinations on the coasts (California, Florida, and New England).

Joe cut up his board game boxes to make them fit in the smallest space possible! Even so, he has fewer than a dozen games in the RV. Kalyn’s favorite: Skyjo.
