SNAP Review – Green Team Wins: Holiday Party

Anitra – I want you to think back to a time long, long ago. When our party preferences were different, and then, when a game came on the scene that totally blew us away, and changed forevermore how we would get to know one another.

Wait. Are you talking about Green Team Wins?

Green Team Wins

I am.

That was just two years ago.

Back when we were young… Anyway. You remember how amazing it was when we shared Green Team Wins with literally anybody who would listen to us?

Yes.

Well it’s back. We love Green Team Wins, the game where you want your answer to match the most people, so you can stay on the Green team. And this time, the team is bringing us the holiday cheer with Green Team Wins: Holiday Party.

This is an uber SNAP for Green Team Wins: Holiday Party.

Game

Holiday Party is just more Green Team Wins! If you don’t remember how to play, click this link up here, or the link in the description of the video, for our SNAP review of the original game.

In Holiday Party you get the same three kinds of cards: Best of Three, This or That, and Fill in the Blank – but this time, with a Christmas flair.

Art

And then there’s the art. Other than some festive flair on the fronts of the cards, the art here is just as minimal as the original, so, nothing to report.

Best of Three - What's the most uncomfortable holiday party? 1 White elephant gift exchange; 2 Ugly sweater party; 3 Karaoke carol jam
This or That - Peppermint candy cane OR Non-peppermint candy cane
Fill in the Blank - Cinnamon ____

Mechanics

And then, mechanically, like we said at the top, it’s the same game! There’s really no new mechanics.

Expectations

So, let’s talk about what we expected.

Although I clearly saw decorations on the front, since the name is “Holiday Party” and not “Christmas Party” I expected this to have some other winter-themed holidays along for the ride.

I expected – more questions for Green Team Wins! And a holiday theme.

Surprises

This is a Christmas themed expansion. That’s totally fine, but I just don’t want someone to pick this game up hoping for maybe some Chanukah jokes, or something like that, and then get disappointed.

Recommended?

We do love Green Team Wins. And having more of it is only a good thing. We’ll be mixing this in with our regular Green Team Wins game, but if you don’t have the game you could use it by itself as fun holiday ice-breaker or as questions to debate around the table at your big family meal.

Of course, if you don’t have the game, you should probably think about grabbing yourself a copy, because it’s really a great one.

So anyway, we think you should try it and find out who really does give the best presents, and maybe compare your holiday preferences with your friends!

4 ½ presents out of 5 on this one!

And that’s Green Team Wins: Holiday Party, in a SNAP!
